  1. Hi… 76-er here (years, that is). I know socks are important. I have so many. Just my favorite which is alpaca. They come in different thicknesses and I wear them through all the seasons here in Colorado. Quick to dry and no stinky feet. There are many brands and I often use Warrior Alpaca. They do last too.
    I just found your website and am really and truly enjoying your tips although my days of rugged mountain climbing are behind me. There are still many mountains ahead of me though. Thank you for your wisdom and expertise! joan

  2. No mate, that was not a trail you were smelling it was either San Francisco or New York City.

  3. Never understood catholes, every animal in the world craps on the groud directly and maybe throws dirt on top while the next rail washes it away.
